Web Services Tab

The Web Services tab includes authentication options specifically for web services.

Web Services Access Settings

Use this section to set up authentication for web services.

Field Description
Allow Application Access via Web Services

Select this check box to control whether a given account can be used to run applications through an integration API (application programming interface) such as web services or Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs).

Select this check box to expose applications such as Web services or EJBs.

Authenticate with JWT Select this check box to use the JSON Web Token (JWT) standard to authenticate web services. This option can be used in combination with authentication methods selected for the user on the Authentication tab.

JWT Certificate

If the Authenticate with JWT check box is selected for a user, use this section to add the JWT certificate that Costpoint requires to validate the token signature. If this certificate is not provided or is invalid, the user will not be able to log in to Costpoint using this method of authentication.

Field Description
File Location Enter, or click to select, the location of the JWT certificate.
File Name Enter, or click to select, the JWT certificate.
Validate Certificate Click Validate Certificate for Costpoint to check the validity of the JWT certificate.
Add Certificate Click Add Certificate to add the JWT certificate to Costpoint.
Remove Certificate Click Remove Certificate to remove the JWT certificate.
