Component Text Subtask

Use this subtask to attach standard text notes to the selected component in the Manage Manufacturing Bills of Material screen. You can do this manually or by clicking Autoload.

Field	Description
Sequence	Enter a sequence number to determine the printing order for this text code. When you click , Costpoint automatically assigns a sequence number to the new line. You can edit this number as you prefer.
Text Code	Enter, or use to select, the text code you want to assign to the component part.
Rev	Enter, or use to select, the revision of the standard text code.
Description	Enter, or use to select, a description of the text code. This field also displays the description of the selected Text Code field.
Part Security	This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the component part is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the part you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that part: Unrestricted: The part is not subject to data security restrictions. Restricted: The part is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information. ***UNAUTHORIZED***: The part is subject to data security restrictions and you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color. If you are unauthorized to access assembly parts or revisions that are subject to data security restrictions, then you will not be able to create or edit BOMs that contain restricted assembly parts or revisions. Note: The features in this release relating to Part Data Security are intended to assist your company in achieving ITAR compliance. However, it is each company’s responsibility to confirm that it is meeting its obligations with respect to ITAR or other applicable requirements. Deltek does not warrant that use of this functionality will result in compliance.
Text Active	If selected, this check box indicates that the standard text code/revision combination is currently active. The value of this check box loads from the Manage Parts screen.
Document Print Option	This field displays the document print option, which shows the types of documents in which the text will print. the various options are: I: Internal E: External B: Both
Autoload	Click this button to load any additional item text (after the initial load of the component texts). The associated Autoload check box should be selected on the Assigned Standard Text subtask of the Manage Parts screen.
