Component MBOMs Where-Used Subtask

Use this subtask to view a single-level, where-used table that shows the potential effect of the mass component change.

The table lists assemblies and subassemblies with the source component of their manufacturing bill of material (MBOM).

Field Description
Comp Line

This field displays the line number for this MBOM component line.

Find No

This field displays the drawing find number for this MBOM component line.

Assembly Part

This field displays the identification code of the assembly part of the MBOM.

Assy Rev

This field displays the assembly part's revision.

Assembly Description

This field displays the assembly part's description.

Comp Type

This field displays the component's type code. The various types are:

  • B: Buy with Components
  • S: Standard
  • P: Phantom
  • R: Reference
  • T: Tool
Quantity Type

This field displays the component's quantity type code. The various types are:

  • A (Per Assembly): The component quantity is multiplied by the number of assemblies to be created.
  • O (Per Order): Requires a fixed component quantity for each assembly manufacturing created.
  • R (As Required): Component requirements are not generated for this assembly.
Quantity

This field displays the component part quantity for the MBOM.

Comp U/M

This field displays the inventory unit of measure for the component part.

Comp M/B

This field displays M (Make) if the component is manufactured or B (Buy) if the component is purchased.

Assy Released  Status

This field displays the release status of the assembly part.

Component Released

This field displays Y (Yes) if the component has been released. Otherwise, this field displays N (No).

Configuration

This field displays the configuration ID in which the component will be used when planning this BOM. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs check box on the Configure Bills of Material Settings screen.

Configuration Description

This field displays the configuration's description. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs check box on the Configure Bills of Material Settings screen.

Effective Starting Date

This field displays the date on which the component will become effective in the MBOM.

Effective Ending Date

This field displays the date on which the component will cease to be effective in the MBOM.

Reference Designators

This field displays the component's reference designator text for this assembly.

Component Comments

This field displays any comments that apply to the MBOM component.

Entry User ID

This field displays the user ID of the individual who first entered this component line.

Entry Date/Time

This field displays the date and time on which the component line was first entered.
