Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Substitute Parts Subtask

Use this subtask to view the substitute parts information for a selected component part in the Release Manufacturing Bills of Material screen.

You can establish and maintain component substitute parts in the Substitute Parts subtask on the Manage Parts screen in Costpoint Product Definition.

Field Description
Sequence

Use this field to enter a sequence number to determine the printing order for this substitute part.

When you click , Costpoint automatically assigns a sequence number to the new line. You can edit this number as you prefer.

Substitute Part

This field displays the identification code for this substitute part.

Rev

This field displays this substitute part's revision.

Description

This field displays this substitute part's description.

I/C

This field displays Y (Yes) if this substitute parts is completely interchangeable with the component part. Otherwise, this field displays N (No).

U/M

This field displays the unit of measure for this substitute part.

Make/Buy

This field displays the Make if this substitute part is manufactured or Buy if it is purchased.
