Documents Subtask

Use this subtask to specify the documents that are related to the part. Set up documents on the Manage Documents screen.

Field Description
Document

Enter, or click to select, the document to link to this part.

Rev

Enter, or click to select, the document revision to link to this part.

Type

Enter, or click to select, the document type associated with this document.

Name

Enter, or click to select, the name of the document to link to this part. After you enter or select the Document, this field displays the document name.

Effective Starting Date

Enter, or click to select, the date when the document becomes effective for the part.

Last ECN

This field displays the last Engineering Change Notice (ECN) ID for this part. Access ECN information in the Engineering Change Notices module.

Location

This field displays the document location, as defined on the Location subtask of the Manage Documents screen.

Note: Click the Browse for file button (if allowed) to find the file, or the Open file button to view the document.
Effective Ending Date

Enter, or click to select, the date when the document stops being effective for the part.

Print on Purchase Reports

Select Yes in the drop-down list if this document is referenced on purchase orders, requisitions, and request for quotes for this part. Otherwise, select No.

Print on Receipt Traveler

Enter Y or select Yes in the drop-down list if this document is to be referenced on receipt travelers for this part. Otherwise, enter N or select No in the drop-down list.

Print on MO Assembly Sheets

Select Yes in the drop-down list if this document is referenced on manufacturing order assembly sheets for this part. Otherwise, select No.

Print on MO Routing Traveler

Select Yes in the drop-down list if this document is referenced on manufacturing order routing travelers for this part. Otherwise, select No.

Status

This field displays the release status of the document.
