Manage Master Production Schedules Planning Codes

Use this screen to establish and maintain the planning codes to associate with specific production plans in Costpoint Material Requirements Planning and Costpoint Master Production Scheduling.

You use these codes when creating "what if" scenarios to determine the impact of modifications to production plans using a variety of criteria.

New installations of Costpoint always include one MPS Planning code: P (Production). This planning code represents the "official" production plan. This record cannot be deleted. Only planned orders and MPS/MRP action messages generated for the P MPS Planning code can be firmed or acted upon. Planned orders and action messages for other MPS Planning codes are for information only.

If the Configure Master Production Scheduling Settings screen requires that each company must be planned separately by company, MPS Planning Codes must be set up separately for each company. If MRP plans all companies together, the companies share all MPS Planning Codes.
