Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Project Cost Chart (Performance and Variance)

Use this screen to generate a chart that displays Variance History for the project selected in the Navigation and all tasks below that level, summarized at the level selected.

The Left Axis and Line graph the cumulative variance for Labor and Total Costs. The Right Axis and Bar graph shows total variance for each of the past 7 accounting periods.

Note: Negative variances display in favor of either actuals or budgets, depending on how Report Variances in Favor of is configured on the Display tab of Planning > Administration  > Administration Controls  > Configuration Settings. If configured in favor of Actuals and actual costs are higher than budgeted costs, the variance displays as negative. The opposite is true if budgeted costs are higher than actual costs, and the variance displays as positive. However, for either Budgets or Actuals, profit and revenue variances are always opposite to the cost calculation.
