Cost Subtask
Use the Cost subtask to view inventory cost element information for the selected transaction line.
When creating an inventory transaction line for any MO Relief, the lower level unit costs for each cost element are calculated from the lower level relieved costs included in the unit price of a relief line. The calculation is based on the percentage of lower level costs that make up the total costs for a cost element on an MO. Include this amount on the inventory transaction line in the new lower level cost amount fields. These amounts are copied if the transaction is cloned and reversed.
If the Build To project (in the Allocations subtask of the Manage Manufacturing Orders screen) has a costing method of S (Standard), the cost of all quantity reliefs is determined by the standard costs for the build to part in the Manage Item Costs screen or Manage Project Item Costs screen in Product Definition.
