Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Alternate Parts Subtask

Use this subtask to view the list of alternate parts for the item. Use it when you need to view information on alternate parts for the item.

Field Description
Preferred

This columns displays a Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether this is a preferred part.

Part Pref Type

This column displays the part preference type for this alternate part. You can enter preference types on the Manage Part Preference Types screen.

Company ID

This column displays your company ID based on the search criteria and the setting of the Separate Items by Company check box on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.

Manufacturer

This column displays the manufacturer ID of an alternate part for this item.

Manufacturer Name

This column displays the name of the manufacturer of the alternate part.

Manufacturer Part

This column displays the ID of the alternate part.

Manuf Rev

This column displays the manufacturer's revision for the part.

Vendor

This column displays the vendor ID assigned to this alternate part.

Vendor Name

This column displays the name for this vendor ID.

Vendor Part

This column displays the ID of the vendor part.

Vendor Rev

This column displays the revision of the vendor part.
