Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Item Cost Subtask

Use this subtask to view item cost information for individual items.

This information comes from the Manage Item Costs screen. Use this subtask when you want to view item cost.

Field Description
Item

This field displays the item ID of the selected item. The item description is also displayed.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the selected item.

U/M

This field displays the unit of measure associated with the item.

Make/Buy

This fields displays whether the item is an M (Make) or B (Buy) item.

Active

This field displays Y (Yes) or N (No) for the active status of this item.

Table Window

Field Description
Type

This field displays cost type for this item. The cost types are:

  • S: Standard
  • R: Reference
  • L: Last
Total

This field displays the total per unit cost amount for the item of this cost.

Effective Start Date

This field displays the starting date of the cost row validity. For new rows with Cost type of Standard or Reference, initial value is the current date, otherwise this is blank.

Effective End Date

This field displays the ending date of the cost row validity.

Material Direct

This field displays the cost per unit amount of material for this item.

Material Burden

This field displays the cost per unit amount of material burden for this item. Material burden is the cost added to cover overhead expenses.

Labor Direct

This field displays the cost per unit amount of labor for this item.

Labor Burden

This field displays the cost per unit amount of labor burden for this item. Labor burden is the cost added to cover overhead expenses.

Subcontract Direct

This field displays the cost per unit amount of subcontracted services for this item.

Subcontract Burden

This field displays the cost per unit amount of subcontract burden for this item. Subcontract burden is the cost added to cover overhead expenses.

Misc 1 Direct

This field displays the cost per unit amount of miscellaneous 1 expense for this item.

Misc 1 Burden

This field displays the cost per unit amount of miscellaneous 1 expense burden for this item. Miscellaneous 1 burden is the cost added to cover overhead expenses.

Misc 2 Direct

This field displays the cost per unit amount of miscellaneous 2 expense for this item.

Misc 2 Burden

This field displays the cost per unit amount of miscellaneous 2 expense burden for this item. Miscellaneous 2 burden is the cost added to cover overhead expenses.

Modified By

This field displays the user who made the most recent change to the row.

Modified Date

This field displays the date of the most recent change to the row.
