Capacity & Rates Subtask
Use the Capacity & Rates subtask to specify the capacity and rates of the work center.
You can compare the information found here with the anticipated workload of a manufacturing order.

Field | Description |

Effective Date |
Enter the date on which the rate and capacity information in the row will become effective. |
Weekly Gross Hours |
Enter the typical hours per week that the work center is available for production. This field defaults with the Default Shift Hours from the Routings Settings screen multiplied by the weekly shifts, and will automatically calculate based on adjustments made to the Weekly Net Hours, Efficiency, and Utilization fields. |
Efficiency |
Enter a percentage that describes how well standard hours are met when this work center is operating. |
Utilization |
Enter the percentage that describes how often the work center is operating during shifts. |
Weekly Net Hours |
This field displays the typical hours per week that are available for production, net of efficiency, and utilization. This field displays the product of the Weekly Gross Hours, Efficiency, and Utilization fields. You can enter the Weekly Net Hours, Efficiency, and Utilization values, and the system will automatically calculate the Weekly Gross Hours. |
Setup Labor Hourly Rate |
Enter the hourly labor rate for setups in this work center. |
Run Labor Hourly Rate |
Enter the hourly labor rate for manufacturing in this work center. |
Labor Burden Rate |
Enter the target burden rate to be applied to labor dollars in this work center. When you enter a new line, this field defaults with the Default Target Burden Labor Rate from the Routings Settings screen. |
Weekly Shifts |
This column displays the sum of the daily shifts. |
Sunday - Saturday Shifts |
Enter the typical number of shifts for a particular day. |
