FIDO Certificate Subtask

Use the FIDO Certificate subtask to have your company certify and endorse the FIDO device so that you can use it legally for authentication, digital signing, or both.

Certificate Sign Request (CSR)

This section displays the entry data for generating the digital certificate in Costpoint.

Field Description
Generate CSR Click this button to send a CSR for your FIDO device.
  • Costpoint mails the CSR to your email address.
  • Once you receive the CSR, work with your IT department to sign the CSR using your company certificate.
  • After you receive your personal identity certificate that was signed by your company, upload it using Process > File Upload and link it to your FIDO device using the Add Certificate action located in this subtask.
Common Name This field displays the Common Name for this user's digital certificate. The Common Name or CN is generated from the user's email address.
FIDO Public Key (SHA256) This field displays the user's FIDO device public key.
Org (O) This field displays the user's company.
Locality (L) This field displays the location of the user's company.
State (S) This field displays the state where the user's company is located.
Country (C) This field displays the country where the user's company is located.

Certificate

After your certificate is endorsed by the company, use this section to upload the certificate into Costpoint.

Field Description
File Location Enter, or click to select, the location of the certificate file.
File Name Enter, or click to select, the certificate file.
Validate Certificate Click this button to validate the certificate before uploading it. You can also validate a certificate that is uploaded already.
Add Certificate Click this button to link your certificate to your FIDO device. The certificate information will display in the Device Certificate field in the FIDO/Biometric Devices subtask.
Remove Certificate Click this button to remove the certificate.
