Paid Family Leave Subtask
Use this subtask allows to enter leave charging details that will be used in Paid Family Leave processing.
This subtask is available only if the leave type selected on the Manage Employee Leave screen is flagged as Used for Paid Family Leave.

Field | Description |

Effective Date |
Enter, or click to select, the effective date of the Paid Family Leave. This is the date on which the employee can start charging time to Paid Family Leave type. This is a required field. |
End Date |
Enter, or click to select, the end date of the Paid Family Leave. This is the last date on which the employee can charge time to the Paid Family Leave-leave type. This is a required field. |
Accrual Date |
Enter, or click to select, the end date of the leave period in which the employee should accrue the Paid Family Leave. The date must be less than or equal to the employee's current open leave period end date. When you run the Compute Leave process, if the process finds an Employee Leave-Paid Family Leave record with an accrual date that is equal to the open leave period end date, the employee will receive the block-grant accrual. |
City/State |
Enter, or click to select, the city or state requiring the Paid Family Leave. |
Allows Hourly Charging | This checkbox indicates whether the State or City allows the employee to charge Paid Family leave by the hour. |
Average Weekly Wage | Enter the employee's average weekly wage. Please refer to each participating state's or city's guidelines for determining an employee's average weekly wage. This value will be divided by the Average Weekly Hours to determine the Average Hourly Compensation Rate. When the employee charges time to the leave type's account, the Average Hourly Compensation Rate will be used to determine labor cost for the Paid Family Leave charging. |
Average Weekly Hours | Enter the employee's average weekly hours. Please refer to each state's or city's guidelines if they have a specific way of determining the average weekly hours. The Average Weekly Wage will be divided by this value to determine the Average Hourly Compensation Rate. When the employee charges time to the Leave Type's account, the Average Hourly Compensation Rate will be used to determine labor cost for that timesheet line. |
Average Hourly Compensation Rate | This field displays the employee's average hourly compensation rate for the Paid Family Leave. This value is automatically determined by dividing the Average Weekly Wage by the Average Weekly Hours. When the employee charges time to the leave type's account, the average hourly compensation rate will be used to determine labor cost for that timesheet line. |
Override Accrual Rate |
If the employee's block grant accrual is not the same as the accrual rate specified in the Manage Leave Codes screen, then enter the override accrual rate here. When you run the Compute Leave process and the accrual date falls within the open leave period, this rate, rather than the accrual rate from the Manage Leave Codes screen, will be accrued by the employee. Leave this field blank or enter 0.00 if the accrual rate specified in the Manage Leave Codes screen should be used. |
Box 14 Description |
From the drop-down list, select the Box 14 description for the daily limit amount that the sick leave wages have been subjected to. Valid options are:
