UID Print File Format
You can use the Create UID Print File screen to export unique identification (UID) information into a tilde-delimited text file.
The UID print file includes one row per part/revision/serial number combination. Costpoint sorts the rows by the following:
- Primary sort is by Part/Rev
- Secondary sort id by Serial Number
Note: Costpoint does not sort by UID number since each serial number has its own UID number.
You can import this print file to a third-party software to produce the following:
- MIL-STD-130L 2D matrix UID part labels
- Unit barcodes
- Exterior labels
