This-Level Costs Subtask

Use the This-Level Costs subtask to view the cost detail amounts charged directly to this MO.

This subtask shows the breakdown of direct and burden costs along with number of labor and subcontract hours applied to the MO directly. These amounts exclude similar cost elements of subassemblies (lower-level costs) that are used in the MO. Material costs of component issues to the MO will be included if you selected the Burden Raw Material at Issue option on the Configure Inventory Accounts screen in Costpoint Inventory.

Use this subtask whenever you need to view direct or burden cost element information for the selected MO, without including the lower-level costs incurred by subassemblies used in the MO.

MO This-Level Costs

This group box displays the costs (direct and burden) incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Field Description
Material (Direct)

This field displays the direct material costs of component issues to the MO (if raw material is burdened on issue), excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Labor (Direct)

This field displays the direct labor costs incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Subcontract (Direct)

This field displays the direct subcontract costs incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Misc 1 (Direct)

This field displays the direct miscellaneous 1 costs incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Misc 2 (Direct)

This field displays the direct miscellaneous 2 costs incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Total (Direct)

This field displays the sum of all the direct costs incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Material (Burden)

This field displays the burden material cost incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

If you selected the Burden Raw Material at Issue option (on the Configure Inventory Accounts screen in Costpoint Inventory), for each fiscal year, the system calculates the material burden amount by multiplying the direct material cost by the build-to inventory abbreviation's WIP material account/organization burden rate for that year, which depends upon whether the burden rate default is set as Target Rates or Actual Rates (in the Burden Rate Default group box in the Configure Inventory Accounts screen). The sum of material burden costs for all fiscal years constitutes the total material burden cost for the MO.

If you selected the Do Not Burden Raw Material or Burden Raw Material at Receipt option in the Configure Inventory Accounts screen in Costpoint Inventory, this field is zero.

Labor (Burden)

This field displays the burden labor cost incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

For each fiscal year that timesheet charges have been applied to the MO, the system calculates the labor burden amount by multiplying the sum of timesheet charges by the build-to inventory abbreviation's WIP material account/organization burden rate for that year, which depends upon whether the burden rate default is set as Target Rates or Actual Rates (in the Burden Rate Default group box on the Configure Inventory Accounts screen). The sum of labor burden costs for all fiscal years constitutes the total labor burden cost for the MO.

Subcontract (Burden)

This field displays the burden subcontract cost incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

For each fiscal year, the system calculates the subcontract burden amount by multiplying the direct subcontract cost by the build-to inventory abbreviation's WIP material account/organization burden rate for that year, which depends upon whether the burden rate default is set as Target Rates or Actual Rates (in the Burden Rate Default group box on the Configure Inventory Accounts screen). The sum of subcontract burden costs for all fiscal years constitutes the total subcontract burden cost for the MO.

Misc 1 (Burden)

This field displays the burden miscellaneous 1 cost incurred by the MO, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

For each fiscal year, the system calculates the subcontract burden amount by multiplying the sum of direct miscellaneous 1 cost and timesheet charges by the build-to inventory abbreviation's WIP material account/organization burden rate for that year, which depends upon whether the burden rate default is set as Target Rates or Actual Rates (in the Burden Rate Default group box on the Configure Inventory Accounts screen). The sum of miscellaneous 1 burden costs for all fiscal years constitutes the total miscellaneous 1 burden cost for the MO.

Total (Burden)

Labor (Hours)

Subcontract (Hours)

Total (Hours)

This field displays the sum of all the hours incurred by the MO, excluding hours incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.

Yearly Cost

This Table Window displays cost elements specific to the selected fiscal year for direct and burden charges, excluding costs incurred by subassemblies used in the MO.

Fiscal Year

Select the fiscal year for which you want to see this-level burden cost information.

Material Cost

This field displays the direct material costs of component issues to the MO (if raw material is burdened on issue), during the selected fiscal year, excluding costs incurred by the subassemblies used in the MO.
