Manage Project Roles

Use this screen to assign roles to projects and users within the projects.

You can assign a role to multiple projects, and a project can also be assigned multiple roles. Users can have multiple roles as well.

You have the option to have the same roles applied to lower levels of the project. You can run this screen at the top level of the project, and then select the Apply to Lower Project Levels check box for the role assignments that you want to cascade to lower-level projects. When you add lower-level projects in Manage Project User Flow, all role assignments with this check box selected for the project directly above the new projects being created will automatically be applied to the new projects. Similarly, when you delete a role assignment with this check box selected, that role assignment will also be removed from lower-level projects.

All roles that have been set up on the Manage Functional Roles screen are available for selection in Manage Project Roles. For the users, only those that have been granted access to the company you are currently logged into can be assigned project roles.

A hyperlink going to this screen is available on the Basic Info tab of Manage Project User Flow. When opened from that screen, Manage Project Roles loads the project from Manage Project User Flow by default, and you can view or modify the role assignments for that project.
