Details Tab

Use this tab to establish information that pertains to the invoice as a whole, and to provide default values for recurring invoice lines.

Field Description
Estimated

Select this check box to mark DD250 invoices as Estimated and to indicate that invoices designated as DD250 type should be printed with a capital E in Box 6. Invoice Number and Date on the form.

Hold

Select this check box to indicate that the invoice is on hold and is ineligible for sales order journal posting. Clear this check box to indicate that the invoice should be included in the sales order journal posting process.

Due Date

This field displays the invoice due date based on the entered invoice date and the customer's established payment terms. You can modify the calculated Due Date.

Recalc Due Date

Click this button to populate the Due Date field.

Customer

These field displays the customer ID established in the sales order. The field on the right displays the associated customer name.

Customer PO

Enter the customer purchase order or delivery order number. Enter this number accurately; Costpoint uses this number for searches.

Mod No

When a customer modifies their original order, enter their modification number (up to 10-character alphanumeric) in this field for tracking purposes.

Terms

Enter, or click to select, the applicable customer payment terms. Costpoint provides the terms established for the customer in the Customer table as a default, which can be modified as necessary.

Delivery Terms

This field displays the delivery terms, if applicable, that were entered on the Customer Details tab on the Manage Sales Orders  screen.

Tax Cert No

Enter a valid tax exemption certificate number, if applicable.

Revenue Recognition

This field displays from the Billing tab of the Manage Sales Orders screen. You can modify the sales group abbreviation for each line.

If you change invoice line sales group abbreviations from liquidation-related accounts to non-liquidation-related accounts, and the Revenue Recognition method remains Liquidations, the Sales Order Journal will not successfully post. Modify the sales order to reflect the correct Revenue Recognition method before adding the invoice to Costpoint.

Auto Assign

Select this check box to automatically assign the shipment number from the project/catalog settings.

Auto-default Header Text

Select this check box load the associated text codes into the Header Standard Text subtask.

Pricing

Field Description
Catalog

This field displays the pricing catalog for the order established on the Enter/Manage Sales Orders screen.

Project

This field displays the pricing project for the order established on the Enter/Manage Sales Orders screen.
