Contents of the Print Sales Order Backlog Report Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Print Sales Order Backlog Report screen.

Identification

Use the fields in this block to create a new parameter ID or to retrieve a previously saved parameter ID. A parameter ID represents a set of screen selection parameters. After you have saved a parameter ID and its related parameters, you can retrieve them using Query.

You can use the retrieved parameters to produce reports and run processes more efficiently and with greater consistency. The saved parameters are also useful and necessary when you want to run the process as part of a batch job. Many users save a unique set of parameters for each different way they run a report or process. When you select a previously saved parameter ID or parameter description, the associated saved screen selection parameters automatically display as selection defaults. The page setup and print options, if there are any, are also included in the saved parameter ID. You can change any of the associated selection defaults as necessary.

Field Description
Parameter ID

Enter, or click to select, a parameter ID of up to 15 alphanumeric characters. Choose characters for your parameter ID that help identify the type of selections you made on the screen, such as PERIOD or QUARTERLY.

When you save your record, all the selections made on the screen are stored with the parameter ID. Later, you can retrieve the parameter using Query.

You can use the parameter to run the process more efficiently because you can select the parameter ID with its previously defined screen selections. After the default selections display on the screen, you can override the defaults.

Description

Enter, or click to select, a parameter description of up to 30 alphanumeric characters.

Selection Ranges

Use this group box to choose the sales orders for which you want to generate a sales order backlog report. From the unlabeled drop-down list in the upper left corner of this group box, select the range category from which you would like to print a backlog report. Valid values are:

  • Catalog
  • Customer
  • Item
  • Project
  • Sales Order
  • Warehouse

Once you select the category from this drop-down list, use the Option drop-down list to indicate which sales order backlog information will print based on the catalog, customer, item, project, sales order, or warehouse range.

Field Description
Option

From the drop-down list, select the range of sales orders that you want to print based on the category that you selected. Valid options are: "

  • All
  • One
  • Range
  • From Beginning
  • To End
Start

If you select One, enter, or click to select, the ID (or value) that you want to print a report from. If you select Range or From Beginning, enter the starting value for the range in this field.

End

If you select Range or From Beginning from the Option drop-down list, enter, or click to select, the ending ID (or value) for the range.

Non-Contiguous Ranges

Select this check box to use the corresponding category subtasks on this screen for listing multiple non-contiguous ranges.

Date Selection

Use the options the date fields to define the backlog date. From the unlabeled drop-down list in the lower left corner of the Selection Ranges group box, select the line item date that will be used for selecting sales orders. Valid options are:

  • Due Date: Select this option to select sales orders by the due date entered on the sales order line item.
  • Ship By Date: Select this option to select sales orders by the ship-by date entered on the sales order line item.

From the drop-down list, select a range of dates that you want to print are report from. Valid options are:

  • All
  • One
  • Range
  • From Beginning
  • To End
Start

If you select One, enter, or click to select, the date that you want to print a report from. If you select Range or From Beginning, enter the starting date for the range in this field.

End

If you select Range or From Beginning from the Option drop-down list, enter, or click  to select, the ending starting date for the range.

Options

Use this group box to include certain sales order details and sales order line types in the report.

Include

Use the selections in this group box to list print options on the report.

Field Description
Sales Status

Select this check box to print the current sales order status for backlogged items.

Pending Sales Orders

Select this check box to include sales orders with a Pending status.

Order Default

Select this check box to print detailed line information on the report.

Include SO Line Types

Use this group box to include a combination of sales order line types.

Field Description
Inventory

Select this check box to include INV (Inventory) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.

Dropshipment

Select this check box to include DRP (Dropshipment) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.

Recurring

Select this check box to include REC (Recurring) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.

In-Transit

Select this check box to include INT (In Transit) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.

Invoice Only

Select this check box to include INO (Invoice Only) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.

Miscellaneous

Select this check box to include MSC (Miscellaneous) sales order lines in the sales orders backlog report.
