  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Parts Subtask

Use this subtask to assign standard parts, effective dates, configuration IDs, and document print options to the document.

You can also assign and modify document information for a specific part in the Manage Parts screens in Costpoint Product Definition. Any modifications made to a given part-specific document will be reflected for that part in any documents subtask throughout Costpoint. These subtasks will also display any documents that have been assigned to standard parts in the Manage Parts screen. Document information can also be assigned to provisional parts, but only in the Documents subtask in the Manage Provisional Parts screen in Costpoint Product Definition and Costpoint Materials Estimating.

Table Window

This table window displays all parts associated with the document. You can add, edit, or delete a line in this table window.

Field Description
Part

Use this field to enter, or use to select, a valid part ID to which you want to associate the document.

Rev

This field displays the last revision of the part ID.

Description

This field displays the part's description.

Start Date

Use this field to enter, or use to select, the date on which the document will take effect on the part.

End Date

Use this field to enter, or use to select, the date on which the document will end its effect on the part.

Configuration

Use this field to enter, or use to select, the configuration of this part. This field is hidden and disabled if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs check box in Configure Bills of Material Settings screen.

Print on Purchase Reports

Select this check box to reference the document when printing purchase orders (POs), requisitions, and request for quotes (RFQs) for the part.

Print on Receipt Travelers

Select this check box to reference the document when printing receipt travelers for the part.

Print on MO Assembly Sheet

Select this check box to reference the document when printing manufacturing order assembly sheets for the part.

Print on MO Routing Traveler

Select this check box to reference the document when printing routing travelers for the part.

Last ECN

This field displays the last engineering change notice (ECN) to affect the part. This field is optional, and is disabled if you are using Costpoint Engineering Change Notices.

Part Document Key

This field displays the document key for the part.
