MO Subtask

Use the MO subtask to view details of manufacturing orders for the selected row on the main screen.

Use this subtask whenever you need further details about the manufacturing order referenced in the action message on the main screen. You can maintain information on this screen if you selected the Allow MO Maintenance check box on the Configure Material Requirements Planning Settings screen.

Field Description
Part

This field displays the part ID shown in the main screen.

Rev

This field displays the revision of this part.

Description

This field displays the description for this part.

U/M

The unit of measure assigned to this part.

Message

This field displays the action message suggested for the requisition. The action messages are:

  • Cancel Order
  • Reschedule Order
  • Decrease Qty
MO

This field displays the manufacturing order ID.

Type

This field displays the type of the manufacturing order.

Inventory Abbrev

This field displays the inventory abbreviation code to which the MO build parts are being allocated. The name of the inventory abbreviation displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.

Project

This field displays the project ID associated with the inventory abbreviation to which the MO build parts are allocated. The project name displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.

Status

This field displays the current status of the manufacturing order. Options are:

  • Closed
  • Firm
  • Planned
  • In Shop
  • Released

You can maintain this status only if you selected the Allow MO Maintenance check box in the Configure Material Requirements Planning Settings screen.

Warehouse

This field displays the warehouse in which the MO is being built.

Planner

This field displays the planner responsible for this MO.

Supervisor

This field displays the supervisor associated with the MO.

MO Quantities

This group box displays MO quantity information for this part.

Field Description
Suggested Open

This field displays the open quantity suggested by MRP.

Open

This field displays the quantity yet to be completed for the given inventory abbreviation allocation.

Open Yield

This field displays the quantity yet to be completed against the MO for the given inventory abbreviation allocation. It includes scrap/yield losses. This field is displayed only if you selected the Incl Scrap/Yield % in Planning Process check box in the Configure Production Control Settings screen in Costpoint Production Control.

Allocation

This field displays the MO quantity that will be built and allocated to the associated inventory abbreviation. You can maintain this field only if you selected the Allow MO Maintenance check box in the Configure Material Requirements Planning Settings screen.

Completed

This field displays the quantity that has been built and relieved against the MO for the given inventory abbreviation allocation.

MO Dates

This group box displays MO date information for this part.

Field Description
Due

This field displays the date on which the MO is due to be completed. You can maintain this field only if you selected the Allow PO Maintenance check box in the Configure Material Requirements Planning Settings screen. Modification of this date also updates the Planned Available date.

Suggested Due

This field displays the due date suggested by the MRP system. Costpoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing stocking lead time from the need date.

Planned Release

This field displays the date on which the date is planned for release to the stockroom. This field is not displayed if the MO Status is Released or In Shop.

Suggested Release

This field displays the release date suggested by Costpoitn. Cosppoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing picking, manufacturing, manufacturing inspection, and manufacturing stocking lead times from the need date of the requirement.

Planned In Shop

This field displays the date on which the MO is planned for release to the shop floor. This field is not displayed if the MO Status is In Shop.

Suggested In Shop

This field displays the date suggested by Costpoint for releasing the manufacturing order to the shop floor. Costpoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing, manufacturing inspection, and manufacturing stocking lead times from the need date of the requirement.

Planned Available

This field displays the date on which the parts built with the MO will be available. Costpoint calculates this value by adding the part's manufacturing stocking lead time to the Due date.

Need

This field displays the date on which the MO must be completed.
