Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Part Preference Types screen.

Field	Description
Pref Type Code	Enter a part preference code. You can assign this part preference type to an alternate part number to indicate its level of acceptability. You can use this code on the Manage Alternate Parts screen to indicate the alternate parts preference.
Description	Enter a part preference type description. For example, you could assign the description "Not to be used in new design" to the code letter N or "Only to be used in new designs" to code letter O.
