Sub Parts Subtask

Use this subtask to view current inventory information for any substitute parts for the selected part and project selected on the main screen header.

Costpoint checks to see if substitutes are allowed for that part/project. If substitutes are allowed, it checks to see if project specific substitutes are for that part. If substitutes are not allowed, no substitute parts display. This information is defined on the Manage Parts screen. Otherwise, Costpoint looks at the substitute parts defined in Product Definition.

Field	Description
Part	This field displays the ID of the part in the selected inventory record.
Rev	This column displays the revision number for the inventory record part.
U/M	This field displays the default or inventory unit of measure for the selected part.
Description	This field displays the part description.
Project	This field displays the project ID associated with the inventory record.
Project Name	This field displays the project name.

Substitute Part	This field displays the substitute part that can be exchanged for the selected part.
Rev	This field displays the revision level of the substitute part.
Description	This field displays the description of the substitute part.
U/M	This field displays the default or inventory unit of measure for the substitute part.
Make/Buy	This field displays the M (Make) or B (Buy) status of the substitute part.
Project	This field displays the project ID associated with the substitute part.
Net Available Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are available for use. Costpoint calculates this field by adding On Hand Quantity, In Inspection Quantity, In Shipping Quantity, On Order Quantity, On Requisition Quantity, Owed Quantity, Planned Owed Qty, and In MRB Quantity and subtracting Reserved Quantity and Planned Reserved Qty. (In MRB Quantity is included only if you selected the Incl MRB as Available Inventory check box on the Configure Production Control Settings screen.)
On Hand Quantity	This field displays quantity of parts for the selected substitute parts that are in on-hand locations.
In Inspection Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are in incoming inspection or reinspection locations.
In MRB Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are in Material Review Board locations.
In Shipping Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are in shipping locations.
On Order Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are on open purchase and manufacturing orders.
Requisition Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are on open purchase requisitions.
Reserved Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that have been reserved by inventory reservations, manufacturing orders and sales order.
Owed Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are owed to it from another project (a transfer reservation).
Planned Reserved Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts (for the selected project) for inventory requests that have not been fully approved.
Planned Owed Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts (for the selected project) for inventory transfer requests that have not been fully approved.
On Hold Quantity	This field displays the quantity of parts for the selected part and project that are in on-hold locations.
Project Name	This field displays the project name associated with the selected substitute part inventory.
Common Inventory	This field displays Y (Yes) or N (No) depending on whether or not this is a company-owned, non-allocated inventory project.
Netting Group	This field displays the netting group ID associated with the selected substitute part inventory.
