  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Parts Subtask

Use this subtask to view all rows of parts information for the selected ECNs.

Field Description
ECN

This field displays the ID of the selected ECN.

Description

This field displays the description of the selected ECN.

Status

This field displays the status of the selected ECN.

Parts Impacted

Field Description
Action Code

This field displays the selected ECN's action code.

Original Part

This field displays the ECN's original part key.

Original Part Rev

This field displays the ECN's original part revision.

Original Part Description

This field displays the ECN's original part description.

Part Security

This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the replacement part is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the part is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that part:

  • Unrestricted: The part is not subject to data security restrictions.
  • Restricted: The part is subject to data security restrictions and you are authorized to access detailed part information.
  • ***UNAUTHORIZED***: The part is subject to data security restrictions and you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color.
Note: The features in this release relating to Part Data Security are intended to assist your company in achieving ITAR compliance. However, it is each company’s responsibility to confirm that it is meeting its obligations with respect to ITAR or other applicable requirements. Deltek does not warrant that use of this functionality will result in compliance.
Original Part Status

This field displays the ECN's original part status.

Original Part Active

This field displays either Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether or not the original part is active for the ECN.

Original CAGE

This field displays the original CAGE ID of the ECN.

Change-To Part

This field displays the change-to part for the ECN.

Change-To Part Rev

This field displays the change-to part revision number of the ECN.

Change-To Part Description

This field displays the change-to part description of the ECN.

Change-To Part  Status

This field displays the change-to part status of the ECN.

Change-To MBOM Status

This field displays the change-to part MBOM status of the ECN.

Change-To EBOM Status

This field displays the change-to part EBOM status of the ECN.

Change-To Part CAGE

This field displays the change-to part CAGE ID of the ECN.

Change-To Part Make/Buy

This field displays the make or buy status for the part described in the ECN.

Copy Original Part Info

This field displays either Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether part information is to be copied from the original part to the new change-to part for the ECN.

Replace in All BOMs

This field displays either Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether or not the part is to be replaced in all BOMs for the ECN.

Effectivity Date

This field displays the part's effective date.

Roll Parent Revs

This field displays either Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether or not to roll the parent revisions for the ECN. This column is visible if the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item check box is not selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.

Material Disposition

This field displays the part's material disposition.

Part Docs Click this link to open the Part Docs subtask, where you can view the list of part/document links affected by this ECN.
Routings Click this link to open the Routings subtask, where you can view the routings that use the selected part.
Inventory Click this link to open the Inventory subtask, where you can  view the current inventory for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
MOs Click this link to open the MOs subtask, where you can view the manufacturing orders for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
MO Requirements Click this link to open the MO Requirements subtask, where you can view the MO requirements for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
Reservations Click this link to open the Reservations subtask, where you can view reservations for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
Requisitions Click this link to open the Requisitions subtask, where you can view the open requisition lines for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
POs Click this link to open the POs subtask, where you can view purchase order lines for the original part. This link will be disabled if there is no original part ID.
MBOM Comp Click this link to open the MBOM Comp subtask, where you can view the MBOM components of the part to be modified by the selected ECN/part.
MBOM Assy Click this button to open the MBOM Assy subtask, where you can view the MBOM assemblies that use the selected change-to or original part.
EBOM Comp Click this link to open the EBOM Comp subtask, where you can view the EBOM components of the part to be modified by the ECN/part. This link is disabled if you did not select the Use Engineering Bills of Material check box on the Configure Bills of Material Settings screen in Costpoint Bills of Material.
EBOM Chng Assy Click this button to open the EBOM Assy subtask, where you can view the EBOM assemblies that use the change-to part.
