  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Other Settings

Field Description
Allow Issues to PO/Transfers between Finished Goods and Raw Materials

Select this checkbox to allow issues (issues to PO only and not issues to PAO), and transfers between finished goods to raw materials and vice versa. If you clear this checkbox (default), issues and transfers will not be allowed.

Allow Issues from On-Hold type Locations

Select this checkbox to allow inventory issues from On-Hold type locations.  If you select this checkbox, transactions will be allowed but a warning will be displayed. If you clear this checkbox, a transaction error will occur.

Allow Common Stock sourced from a Non-Common Inventory Project

Select this checkbox to allow common stock inventory abbreviation value from a project that is not specified as common inventory.

Part Inventory Filter Options Defaults

Use this group box to determine the filter options to default when View Part Inventory is initialized. Any combinations can be selected.

Field Description
Suppress Zero Quantity Rows Select this checkbox if you do not want to view parts that currently have zero quantities for all inventory, on-hand, on-req, reserved, and owed. If you clear this checkbox, parts that have all zero quantities are not excluded from the query.
Include Inventory from Other Companies

This checkbox appears if you clear the Separate Items By Company checkbox in the Corporate Settings block of the Configure Product Definition Settings screen. (If you select the Separate Items By Company checkbox, this checkbox is hidden.)

Select this checkbox to include inventory from other companies and projects in the inquiry's result set. When Costpoint searches lower levels for inventory, order, requisition, requirement, and part/project information, lower-level rows also display from other companies.

If you clear this checkbox, only those project IDs that are linked to your user ID and company display in the result set.

Include RMA Inventory Select this checkbox to include inventory from Return Material Authorization (RMA).

Part/Project Selection Criteria

Field Description
Exact Match Select this option to find an exact match for the Part or Project text you entered.
Ends With Select this option to find all items that end with the Part or Project text you entered.
Begins With Select this option to find all items that begin with the Part or Project text you entered.
Contains Select this option to find all items containing the Part or Project text you entered.
