Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups
Use this screen to identify different functional groups within a company that may be affected by an Engineering Change Notice.
You can define these groups, link users or Costpoint Workflow roles and employees to each of these groups, and indicate whether these users should be notified via Costpoint Workflow at various points during the ECN process.
Once you have set up impacted groups on this screen, you can link them to types of engineering changes on the Manage Engineering Change Types screen. The impacted groups will then default into any new ECN that has been assigned that engineering change type. You can then modify the list of impacted groups for that specific ECN.
If you want to use impacted groups to notify users via Costpoint Workflow, you must either link the users to Workflow roles, which are lists of users maintained in Costpoint Workflow, or set up a list of Costpoint users in the Impacted Group Users subtask. You cannot do both.
Set up this screen after establishing the controls and defaults on the Configure Engineering Change Settings screen and before creating ECNs. maintain this screen whenever necessary.
