Converting Pipelines into Jobs
You have the option to break down Gross Revenue into Gross Revenue hours, Gross Revenue purchases, and cost of purchases in the Pipeline Details tab (
) for a more granular way of tracking Price Quote values.Note: When making price adjustments before converting a pipeline into a job, the sum of the individual amounts for the activities must always be equal to the total amounts for Gross Revenue - Hours and Gross Revenue - Purchases.
Pre-Conversion: Pipeline Details Tab Fields and Calculations
The following describes the fields and corresponding calculations:
- Total Gross Revenue: It is calculated as Gross Revenue - Hours plus Gross Revenue - Purchases. You can enter a figure in this field or split it into hours and/or purchases via the next two fields.
- Gross Revenue - Hours: Optional
- Gross Revenue - Purchases: Optional
- Cost - Purchases: The value in this field is always negative. It is disabled if the Gross Revenue - Purchases field is blank.
- Total Net Revenue: You can enter a figure if the Cost - Purchases field is blank. Otherwise, it is calculated as the Total Gross Revenue minus Cost - Purchases.
- Expected Gross Revenue: Calculated as the Total Gross Revenue multiplied by the Probability (%).
- Expected Net Revenue: The calculation is unchanged (Total Net Revenue multiplied by the Probability).
- Expected monthly Gross Revenue: Calculated as the Expected Gross Revenue divided by the number of months as outlined in the Billing Plan.
- Expected monthly Net Revenue: The calculation is unchanged (Expected Net Revenue divided by the number of months as outlined in the billing plan).
Post-Conversion: Pipeline and Price Quote Columns
When a pipeline is converted into a job, you are presented with an updated view of the values via the two columns in the Pipeline Details tab:
- Pipeline column: When you convert a pipeline into a job, the pipeline figures at the point of conversion are now displayed under this column.
Note: The values under this column become read-only after conversion.
- Price Quote column: After you have converted a pipeline into a job, the Pipeline Details tab pulls in the values from the Price Quotes on the job attached to the pipeline and displays the figures under this column.
Price Quote Column Fields and Calculations
After you have converted a pipeline into a job, the Pipeline Details tab pulls in the values from the Price Quotes on the job attached to the pipeline and displays the figures under the Price Quote column. The following list describes each field and its corresponding calculation:
- Total Gross Revenue: Calculated as the sum of Price Quotes (amounts)
- Gross Revenue - Hours: Calculated as the sum of Price Quotes (Hours multiplied by Hourly rate plus Extra plus Discount)
- Gross Revenue - Purchases: Calculated as the sum of Price Quotes (Purchase quantity multiplied by Profit margin multiplied by Purchases)
- Cost - Purchases: Calculated as the sum of Price Quotes (Purchases multiplied by Purchase quantity)
- Total Net Revenue: Calculated as the sum of Price Quotes (Net Revenue)
