System Variable 1042: Send an Absence Notification to Your Own User and the Entry User When an Absence Entry Is Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled

Use this System Variable to dictate whether to notify users about absence entry approvals, rejections, or cancellations.

This System Variable works in conjunction with other System Variables.

Once System Variable 1042 is enabled, you can then proceed to defining the recipients of the absence entry approval notifications through the following:

• System Variable 1126: If this setting is enabled, the Employee Manager will receive absence notifications for absent employees.
• System Variable 1127: If this setting is enabled, the Traffic Manager will receive absence notifications for absent employees.
• System Variable 1128: If this setting is enabled, the Time Sheet approver will receive absence notifications for absent employees.

You enable this System Variable by selecting its checkbox; disable it by clearing its checkbox.

This setting is enabled by default (selected).
