System Variable 564: Posting Text Is Required in General Ledger

Use this System Variable to determine if comments should be mandatory on all journal entry lines.

This System Variable is disabled by default. When it is enabled, a user receives the following error message when trying to approve a journal containing lines without any comment:

The is x error(s) in the ledger

The lines with the missing comment are highlighted with a warning triangle and the following error message is displayed:

No booking text has been applied

It may be necessary to perform a refresh when modifying System Variable values.
