Add a Department

Use Departments in the Company Settings submodule in the Settings module to add departments.

To use Departments in the Company Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To add a department:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company to which you want to add a new department.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Company Settings > Departments.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Add Department .
  5. In the Add New Department dialog box, enter a name for the department that you want to add and click OK.
  6. To edit the Department, Responsible, Address Label, Comment, and External Code fields, double-click on the corresponding field.
