Use the Tasks submodule to bind tasks using waterfall dependency. This action arranges the tasks so that the next task begins after the previous task ends.
To use the Tasks submodule, you must have access to
Jobs as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under
Settings.
To bind tasks using waterfall dependency:

On the main toolbar, click
Jobs
.

On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click
Jobs List and highlight the job containing the tasks that you want to bind using waterfall dependency.

On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click
Tasks.

On the Tasks screen, click the Tasks tab.

In the grid, select the tasks that you want to bind using waterfall dependency.
To select multiple tasks, press the CTRL key and select the tasks.

Right-click and select
Waterfall Dependency on the shortcut menu.
To select a binding type, right-click the connector (arrow), and then select from the following options:
- Finish-to-Start: This allows you to begin a task only after the preceding task has been completed.
- Start-to-Start: This option allows you to start two selected tasks on the same date. You can start the second task later than the first, but you cannot start it earlier.
- Finish-to-Finish: This option allows you to complete the second task only after the first task has been completed. The second task can be completed later than the first task but not earlier.
- Start-to-Finish: This option allows you to complete the second task only when the first task has begun. You can complete the second task after you have started the first task but the completion date cannot be earlier than the start date of the first task.
