Convert Comments in Job Conversations Into Tasks

Use the Job settings option under the Monthly WIP adjustments follow-up submodule to convert comments in job conversations to tasks.

To use the Monthly WIP Adjustments Follow-up submodule, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To convert a comment in a job conversation into a task:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Finance & Administration .
  2. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen to select the company containing the job conversation that you want to convert to a task.
  3. In the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen, click Month-end > Monthly WIP adjustments follow-up.
  4. Highlight the job of the conversation with a comment that you want to convert to a task and on the grid toolbar, click Job settings .
  5. Click the Chat tab and on the toolbar of the left pane, use the drop-down list to select the applicable category of the conversation with the comment that you want to convert to a task.
  6. Highlight the conversation with the comment that you want to convert to a task.
    Note: This option is only available in the Job and Task conversation categories.
  7. In the right pane, click Show the conversation options and select Convert comment to task.
  8. In the Convert comment to task dialog box, highlight the comment that you want to convert and provide a task name and select an action from the drop-down list.
  9. Click OK.
    WorkBook moves the converted comment to the Task conversation category.
