System Variable 356: FTP Transfer Type
Use this System variable to specify the type of FTP transfer mode to be used.
There are two FTP transfer modes: ASCII and binary. You typically use ASCII mode to send files as text, such as .txt, .html, or .asp files. You typically use binary mode to send files as raw data—for example, images, applications, compressed files, or anything else that is not entirely text characters, such as .jpg, .zip, or .mp3 files.
The default value for this System Variable is binary.
