System Variable 861: Email Duplicate Validation on the Contact Email Address

Use this System Variable to specify whether contacts for clients, companies, suppliers, and other resources can have the same email address in the Resource Information Pane in Resources.

Select any of the following options:

• 1 – No email duplicate validation: This options allows contacts to have the same email address.
• 2 – Warning, but allow email doublet : This option allows contacts to have the same email address but prompts WorkBook to issue a warning when users enter a contact email address that is already used by another contact.
• 3 – Do not allow email duplicates: This option prevents users from adding a contact email address that is already used by another contact.

The default value for this System Variable is 1 – No email duplicate validation.

It may be necessary to perform a refresh when modifying System Variable values.
