Calculate Tax

Use Sales Tax Setup in the Tax submodule in the Settings module to preview tax calculations.

To use Sales Tax Set-Up, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To calculate tax:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company that contains the tax records that you want to calculate.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Tax > Sales Tax Setup.
  4. Highlight an item on the grid.
  5. On the grid toolbar, click Sales Tax Card .
  6. On the Sales Tax Setup sidebar, click the Preview Tax Calculation for Sales/Expenses tab .
  7. On the Sales Tax Setup sidebar toolbar, specify values for the following:
    • Tax Calculation
    • Date
    • Amount
    • Activity
    • Use Type
  8. Click Calculate Tax.
    WorkBook displays the calculation in the grid.
