System Variable 704: General Ledger: Automatically Book Manually Created Journals When All Users Have Approved

Use this System Variable to determine if approved journals should be automatically finalized.

In WorkBook, a journal must be approved and then finalized by clicking two separate buttons inside the journal. This System Variable is disabled by default. When it is enabled, you can skip the final step so that you only need the approval. This is useful if an approval flow is in place and multiple users have already seen and reviewed the journal, making the finalization redundant. If there is no approval flow, retaining the two-step process is a good way to catch mistakes between approving and posting journals.

It may be necessary to perform a refresh when modifying System Variable values.
