System Variable 889: Automatically Add New Time Entries to Existing Entries Sharing the Same Combination of Day, Job, Task and Activity

Use this System Variable to specify if new time entries should be added to existing time sheet lines if they are on the same job, task, and activity.

When this System Variable is enabled, identical time entries are automatically merged. This can be an issue if you are trying to make a correction to a past time entry because the original entry will be locked and cannot be changed directly.

If this System variable is disabled, correction lines can be made only in the same week and day.

It is also useful to allow negative time entries for corrections. For more information, see System Variable 541: Allow Negative Time Entries
