Use the procedures in this section to set up and manage whereabout types.
To use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to add new whereabout types. Employees can then use the whereabout types in Time & Expense or Resources to enter time on tasks that require whereabout information. For employees to use a specific whereabout type, you must activate the whereabout type by selecting the corresponding check box. - Remove Whereabout Types
Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to remove whereabout types. - Enable the Active Status of Whereabout Types

Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to activate time tracking and time entry for whereabout types. - Require Employees to Track Time on Their Whereabout Entries
Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can require selected employees to track their time on whereabout entries. This is useful if you want to compare the whereabout hours with the timesheet hours when approving timesheets. To require employees to track time on their whereabouts, you must set Company Variable to 3 - Required for Some Employees. - Search for Whereabout Types
Use Whereabout in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to search for whereabout types.
