System Variable 642: Use SSL for SMTP

Use this System Variable to require the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to make connections more secure.

This System Variable is typically enabled if you specified 587 in System Variable 641, where the SMTP server expects explicit SSL/TLS.

You enable this System Variable by selecting its checkbox; disable it by clearing its checkbox.

This setting is disabled by default.
