Add a New Sales Tax Jurisdiction

Use Jurisdiction Setup in the Tax submodule in the Settings module to set up a new sales tax jurisdiction. You can then assign the appropriate sales tax code to each sales tax jurisdiction. You can also associate an address and telephone number with the sales tax code.

To use Jurisdiction Setup, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To add a new sales tax jurisdiction:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company to which you want to add a sales tax jurisdiction.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Tax > Jurisdiction Setup.
  4. On the right side of the grid toolbar, select a sales tax method from the drop-down list.
  5. On the grid toolbar, click Add New , and enter the required information.
