System Variable 1139: Error Reporting
Use System Variable 1139: Error Reporting to determine how error messages are handled by WorkBook.
While WorkBook goes through rigorous quality control, unexpected error does occasionally happen. When this happens, a System Issue pop-up window will be displayed with the following message:
An error occured.System Variable 1139 determines how this error message looks and how it is processed. The options are:
- 0 - Disabled
- An error occurred.
- The error message is followed by the technical error message from the system.
- The final message
Error reporting has been disabled. The system will restart.
Note: This should be reported to Customer Care by creating a case in the Support Center.

- An error occurred. Help us catch it by clicking Send report below, and we'll fix it in a new release.

Send report button is available at the bottom.
This submits the error report to an internal tracking tool. An error ID will be shown, which contains the reference code for the error.
- 2 - Automatic
- An error occurred. The error has been automatically reported to WorkBook.
- The error message is followed by an error ID.
Note: The error was automatically submitted to an internal tracking tool, with the error ID as the reference code.
Errors that are reported to Deltek's internal tracking tool are routinely reviewed by the team for trends and statistics so that frequently occurring issues can be caught and solved. No action is made to reach out to users that experience the issue. To receive assistance with an error, submit a case to Customer care in the Support Center.
Tips for reporting an error:
- Describe the steps prior to triggering the error
- Include a screenshot of the entire screen.
- Copy the error ID and the technical error message, if there is one, from the pop-up window message.
