System Variable 1147: Allow for No IC Sales Price when Using Inter-Company Settlement Method Hours, IC Settlement Price?
Use System Variable 1147: Allow for No IC Sales Price when Using Inter-Company Settlement Method Hours, IC Settlement Price? to specify whether inter-company sales prices are required on inter-company time entries.
When you use inter-company (IC) reconciliation - work that is shared between companies in the form of time entries made by users from different companies on jobs that belong to other companies - WorkBook determines the value of the reconciliation by the settlement method. One such method is based on the IC sales price of the time entry.
The price list that a job uses displays the IC sales price in a column that is separate from the normal sales price. The IC sales price column is hidden by default, but users can add it to the grid by right-clicking on the list and selecting Modify Grid.
You use System Variable 1147 to specify if an IC sales price is required. You can prevent users from entering time on a job that belongs to another company if their time entries do not meet certain criteria by choosing one of the following values:
- 0 - Non-zero IC rate is required - Time entry is only permitted if there is an IC sales price.
- 1 - Explicitly defined zero IC rate is allowed - Time entry is permitted as long as the IC sales price is not blank.
- 2 - IC rate is not required, blank is treated as zero - Time entry is permitted even if the IC sales price is blank.
The default value is 0 – Non-zero IC rate is required.
