Enable Use of Template Amounts for New Journal Entries

Use Journal Types in the Finance submodule in the Settings module to enable the use of template amounts for new journal entries. WorkBook takes the template amount from the identified template journal.

To use Journal Types in the Finance submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To enable the use of template amounts for new journal entries:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company for which you want to enable the use of template amounts for new journal entries.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Finance > Journal Types.
  4. Click the Journal Types tab.
  5. Highlight the journal type for which you want to enable the use of template amounts for new journal entries, and select the Template Amount check box.
  6. Double-click on the corresponding Template Journal field, and use the drop-down list to select the journal that you want to use as a template.
