Use the Financial Budget submodule to create finance budgets for a fiscal year. The Financial Budget submodule is accessible only to employees who have the
Allow Financial Administration option selected in the Employee Cross-Company Access submodule under Settings.
To perform this procedure, you must have access to
Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under
Settings.
Before creating a finance budget, make sure that the budget accounts that you want to use already exist on the Account Budget tab.
To create a finance budget:

On the main toolbar, click Finance & Administration

In the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen, click

If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list
above the left pane to select the company for which you want to create a finance budget.

On the Budget List tab, click
Create finance budget
at the top of the grid.

In the Create Budget dialog box, select the fiscal year covered by the budget and enter a title.

Click
OK.
WorkBook adds the new budget to the Budget List tab and displays the Financial Budget Setup pane to the right of the Financial Budget grid.

In the Financial Budget Setup pane, select
Active to make the new budget active.

To use the Dimension Budget tab to enter budgets, you must add both a dimension and an account in the Financial Budget Setup pane. Click
Add dimension
and
Add account
to add dimensions and accounts to the budget.
You can now enter your budget using the Dimension Budget tab of the Financial Budget submodule.
If you do not have a dimension linked to a budget account in the Financial Budget Setup pane, you need to use the Account Budget tab to enter your budget.
