System Variable 709: How Many Times Can a User Attempt to Log In With a Wrong Password Before the System Will Disable the User Account?
Use this System Variable to specify the number of times a user can enter a password incorrectly before the account is disabled.
For example, if the value of this System Variable is 5, a user has a maximum of five attempts to enter the correct password. If the fifth attempt is still incorrect, WorkBook disables (denylists) the account.
The default value for this System Variable is 3.
A denylisted account is locked out for a specific period of time. You set the length of this lockout time using System Variable 712: Invalid Password: How Much Lockout Time Before Re-Login Is Possible.
