Reset a Password and Email it to a User

Use Employee Settings in the Employee Settings submodule in the Settings module to reset passwords and email temporary passwords to affected users.

To use Employee Settings in the Employee Settings submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To reset a password and email it to the user:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company that contains the account whose password you want to reset and email to the employee.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Employee Settings > Employee Settings.
  4. Highlight the employee account whose password you want to reset, and on the grid toolbar, click and select Reset Password and Email it to the User.
    Note: Make sure that the employee has an email address and login name associated with the account.
  5. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
