Set Up Sales Tax Rates

Use Sales Tax Setup in the Tax submodule in the Settings module to set up sales tax rates.

To use Sales Tax Set-Up, you must have access to Settings as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

To set up sales tax rates:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one Company in your WorkBook system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings page to select the Company for which you want to set up sales tax rates.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings page, click Tax > Sales Tax Setup.
  4. Highlight an item on the grid.
  5. On the grid toolbar, click Sales Tax Card .
  6. On the Sales Tax Setup sidebar, click the Tax Rate tab .
  7. On the Sales Tax Setup sidebar toolbar, click Add .
  8. In the Sales Tax Rate dialog box, specify values for the following fields:
    • Tax Rate %
    • Valid from
    • Maximum Amount
    • Minimum Amount
  9. Click OK.
