Perform a Project Planning Resource Search

Use the Project Planning resource search feature to enter specific information for a resource search, including an operator and a sub list for the type of search. You must perform a resource search before you can view the Resource Utilization or Employee Schedule.

To conduct a resource search, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Planning > Project Planning.
  2. On the Labor tab of the Project Planning form, click the Search grid option.
  3. Click the Named Resources tab and complete the fields on the tab.
  4. Click Insert to add a row.
  5. Specify additional criteria for searching, using the AND/OR conditional operators to establish the full search.
  6. Click Search to execute the search.

    The matching resource information displays in the Results grid.

  7. Optional. Click a resource name to view the employee's data from the Employee Info Center.
