Copy and Modify an Existing Generic Resource

You can create a new generic resource that uses information from an existing generic resource, then modify the data and save under a new identifier.

To create a new generic resource that is based on an existing one, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > Planning > Generic Resources.
  2. Complete one of the following actions on the Generic Resources form:
    Option Description
    To search by generic resource Click New > Select Generic Resource to Copy. Use the Generic Resource lookup to select the plan that you want to copy.
    To search by plan Click Search and select the plan that you want to copy. Then click New > Copy Current Plan.
  3. Enter the name of the newly created generic resource.
  4. Complete the fields on the Generic Resources form.
  5. Click Save.
