Reorder Rows and Columns in an Excel Report

You can reorder rows and columns in existing Excel PivotTable reports.

To reorder rows and columns, complete the following step:

In the Row Labels, Column Labels, or Values area at the bottom of the PivotTable Field List, complete one of the following actions:
  • Drag and drop fields within an area to reorder them.
  • Click the down arrow beside a field name, and select one of the move options.
The order of the report filters in the Report Filter area of the PivotTable Field List has no impact on the order of the data in the report.
