Modify an SF330 Template Set to Create a New Template Set

You cannot edit default templates directly, but you can save them with a new name, export the re-named template set, or pages from the set, to Microsoft Word, and then edit them in Word. For example, you can add your company's logo, change fonts, or replace merge codes.

To modify a merge template set, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Proposals > SF330 Proposals.
  2. On the SF330 Proposals toolbar, click Edit > Template Editor.
  3. In the Template Set Name drop-down list on the SF330 Template Editor dialog box, select the template set.
  4. Click the Save As button.
  5. On the Save As dialog box, enter a Name and Description for the new template file set, and click OK.
  6. On the SF330 Template Editor dialog box, from the new template set, select the template page to modify and then click the Export button.
  7. On the File Download dialog box, click Save.
  8. On the Save As dialog box, enter a File name with the extension .rtf.
  9. Open the template in Microsoft Word and modify it.
  10. Save the template as an .rtf file and close it.
  11. On the SF330 Template Editor dialog box, select the template page to update, and click Update.
  12. Select the modified template and click Open.
  13. Click Close to close the SF330 Template Editor dialog box.

Postrequisite: You must update the template on the SF330 Template Editor dialog box. This update procedure makes the set available for merging your SF330 proposal.
